CELEBRATING MACNAIR’S EXPLORATION RUM

We are thrilled to announce MacNair’s Exploration Rum’s success at the Rum and Cachaça Masters 2026.
Our Panama range saw fantastic recognition with our 7-year-old, 7-year-old Peated and 15-year-old each taking home a Gold medal.
Located in Central America, Panama’s volcanic soil is the ideal growing environment for the ingredient in rum-making: sugar cane. This is what drew Master Blender, Billy, to seek out the best rum the country has to offer. Each expression was initially matured in American oak in the tropical Panamanian climate, before being transferred to the cooler maturation environment at The GlenAllachie Distillery in Speyside, where it was elevated by celebrated Master Blender, Billy Walker.

Our Jamaica expressions also received great acclaim, with Jamaica Unpeated awarded Gold and Jamaica Peated securing Silver.
Produced from the highest quality sugar cane grown in Jamaica, this pot still rum was expertly sourced by Billy from Southern Jamaica’s Clarendon Distillery and transferred to the cool Scottish climate for full maturation at The GlenAllachie Distillery. The Jamaican expressions were subjected to a similarly complex and innovative maturation journey, but this time under the watchful eye of Walker throughout the entire ageing process.
